Product Description

The BYD sealion 06 EV comes in three configurations, with a price range of 143,800 to 163,800 yuan. The two range versions are 520km and 605km under CLTC conditions, respectively.

The byd sealion 06 EV is built on BYD's e-platform 3.0Evo, featuring a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive powertrain and a suspension structure of double ball joint MacPherson struts at the front and a five-link rear suspension. Byd sealion 06 ev equipped with BYD's Cloud Carrier-C intelligent damping body control system across the entire range.

Whether it's the byd sealion 06 DM-i or the EV, the power output is smooth. Even in Sport mode, the power delivery is similar to the Comfort mode of other electric vehicles; you could even say there's no sense of direct power delivery in an electric vehicle. In acceleration tests on the track, after flooring the accelerator pedal, the only way to gauge the vehicle's speed was through the instrument panel; frankly, there was absolutely no feeling of being pushed back in your seat. Due to the byd sealion 06 ev vehicle's height, while the braking force is strong, the feedback from the brakes is somewhat vague, similar to rugged Japanese off-road vehicles like the Toyota Prado.

The chassis offers byd sealion 06 ev good vibration damping, specifically, there's minimal aftershock when traversing uneven concrete surfaces. Furthermore, lateral support is decent during aggressive driving, maintaining stability and responsiveness in S-curves and figure-eight turns. However, byd sealion 06 ev the steering is ill-suited for spirited driving. The excessive number of steering wheel turns makes it difficult to maneuver in slalom and figure-eight turns requiring rapid direction changes. The only solution is to slow down.

After leaving the track, I drove the BYD Sealion 06 EV onto ordinary roads. After navigating city streets, highways, and a section of road under construction with poor conditions, the car left me with a rather vague impression. By vague, I mean a lack of responsiveness. There was a noticeable delay in power delivery; after pressing the accelerator, the power always felt like it was a beat behind. However, because the electric motor boasts 218 horsepower, the overall power reserve is decent, and the engine can directly engage at high speeds, so the power isn't weak. The steering felt similarly vague; while large steering angles weren't necessary on ordinary roads, the steering feel was still somewhat ambiguous. In contrast, the BYD Sealion 06 EV's Cloud-C chassis performed quite well, providing good support as it did on the track, and effectively filtering out bumps on rough roads.

The BYD Sealion 06 EV is a standard family car designed for comfortable daily driving. It performs very well when driven slowly, but it will definitely disappoint you if you drive aggressively.
